IT Officer (Support System Administrator)
A reputable financial institution in the central region is looking for vibrant and dedicated persons to fill the following position: IT Officer (Support System Administrator)
Job Responsibilities and Duties will include:
• Assist the Head of MIS to oversee all technology operations (e.g. network security) and evaluate them according to established goals
• Analyse the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
• Assist to rectify all identified systems problems
• Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency (Verify that, computers and other IT peripherals are working properly).
• Assist to identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to head of MIS
• Assist in the implementation of systems control to ensure that only authorized users have access to the company systems
• Investigate, diagnose and solve computer software and hardware faults
• Install and update / Activate ESET Endpoint Security (Antivirus)
• Ensure that all staff comply with IT and security policies
• Response to IT related complaints from staff
• Assist to train non-technical staff on standard operating procedures and best practices
• Compile monthly status report for Head of IT Department
• Carry out any other activity assigned by management and the Head of MIS
Required skills & Experience
• First Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline or any other professional qualification
• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Good planning, quantitative and analytical skills
