Job Function
• Under the immediate supervision of the Deputy Director-General (TECHNICAL), shall set the strategic vision of the academy and ensure the academy's programmes are extensively marketed both in Ghana adn abroad
Job Description
• Co-ordinate the academy's collaboration with local and overseas training partners / organizations the academy use for its programmes
Applicant will:
• Establish and maintain links with external partners, and build upon existing relationships, in order to establish the academy as a Centre of Aviation Excellence in the West Africa sub-region.
• Take a leadership role in the development of an international reputation for the academy
• Maintain links with all Aviation Authorities in Africa with the view of marketing the academy's courses regularly to them
• Direct the preparation, submittal, explanation and management of the academy's annual budget and training plans
• Co-ordinate the creation and development of all training materials and evaluation systems
• Provide consultation and functional supervision of personnel within and outside the Academy who are engaged in the development of course and delivery on instruction
• Establish and maintain key performance indicators to measure effectiveness of learning programs, tools and resources
• Review the training plans/requests of third-party users of the academy's facility to ensure conformity to facility policies and effective use of resources
• Ensure that the academy has a presence at relevant high-profile international aviation trainnig conferences in order to appropriately market the academy
• Perform other duties occasionally that not are included above, but which will be consistent with the role.
Applicant must have
• Have a Bachelor's Degree in any Social Science or Engineering discipline
• Have a Masters or Advanced Degree in any of the above disciplines
• Have a minimum of 15 years post management experience of which 10 years should be senior supervisory position
• Demonstrate a high degree of adaptability, confortable in establishing new directions, managing rapid change and trying different approaches to deal with unchartered territories
• Have experience in developing, implementing and evaluating a training program
• Must have experience using a variety of computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point
• Have a membership with a professional training institute
