Achimota School has obtained consent from the Government of Ghana to
officially and effectively administer the Achimota School Lands. To this
end, the Board of Governors of Achimota School intends to appoint a
Land Use Planner for an initial period of one year to carry out the
following duties:
Duties
• To liaise with the board of governors of the school in the
development of a spatial land-use scheme for the undeveloped portions of
Achimota School lands in line with the requirements of the Ghana
Education Service and the Board' strategic plan
• To liaise with the board of governors of the school in the
development of a spatial land-use scheme for illegally occupied portions
of Achimota School lands in conjunction with Okai-Koi North Municipal
Assembly to guide the orderly development of the general environment
• Take into consideration the legal administrative arrangement
concerning all state institutions in the occupation of Achimota School
Lands and advise on acceptable limits of their boundaries
• Provide support in discussions with the Lands Commission in the
regularization of occupants conforming to uses acceptable by Achimota
School with the approval of the Okai-Koi North Municipal Assembly
• Any other incidental Spatial land use planning matters
• BSc. Physical Planning or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years post qualification experience
• Membership of the Ghana Institute of Planners or its equivalent
• Experience in the Spatial land use planning of public lands
