A leading financial services group operating from Accra with operations
in investment banking, securities trading and investment management,
seeks to employ highly qualified professionals to fill the following
position: Fund Manager
Duties
•
Manage investment portfolios, including making buy or sell decisions
based on research and due diligence, monitoring and changing, portfolio
allocations and employing risk management techniques to identify and
manage variability
• Meet with institutional investors and other
clients regularly to review investment performance, update on the
market, exposures and positions, including objectives and asset
allocation models, develop and recommend strategies, products and
services to achieve their investment goals
• Liaise with relevant
third parties such as fund administrators, custodian or banks, trustees,
lawyers and accountants and attend industry events
• Produce
marketing materials such as pitch books, reports, presentations,
financial analysis, fund mobilization documentation etc
• Grow
existing clients and develop and cultivate new client prospects and
market and promote our range of need based investment solutions,
products, services and capabilities
• Work closely with investment
analysts to analyse financial data, identify appropriate investment
opportunities, and make research-based and informed investment decisions
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the financial markets, industries,
companies, and investment products available to corporate and individual
clients, including bonds, stocks, funds, alternatives etc
• Meet
individual deposit and investment management goals, deliver portfolio
growth and achieve risk-adjusted investment returns that exceed set
benchmarks
• Ensure that portfolios are managed in accordance with
regulations and that reporting requirements are met perform related
duties and projects as assigned by supervisor
• A minimum of 5 years as a Fund Manager or similar role
• A minimum
of a first degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or in other
discipline and with experience in the investment management industry
• Not a prerequisite but certification in CFA, ACCA, ICA or CIMa and master's degree in Finance would be an advantage
• Should have successfully completed the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) Securities Courses and passed the examination at all levels
