Lokhanda is a non-profit self-defense organization specializing in child protection and personal safety skills to empower the safety and security of the vulnerable in society to raise awareness prevent or survive abuse, sexual assault, bullying and other violence.
Lokhanda was founded in 2010 as a non-profit organization based in Ghana, Africa, dedicated to creating awareness, providing educational and physical self-defense training skills to empower people of all ages and abilities against abuse and other violence such as rape, bullying, sexual assault and stalking. Lokhanda’s vision is working together with integrity and in peace to make everyone safe whereas mission is to empower lives and promote gender equality.
Lokhanda offers a wide range of workshops, seminars and consulting services to individuals, schools, churches, groups, corporate organizations and law enforcement agencies and has since empowered thousands of people including special needs both locally and globally to build confidence, establish day-to-day safety awareness skills, boundary settings skills, physical self defense and positive communication skills. Our training programs are adapted to the needs and capacities of people with disabilities to increase their sense of personal power to help defend their rights and fulfill their full potential.
